Overwhelmed does not even begin to describe today, folks, and I'm not just talking for me here. So, if you're feeling about as good as the rest of us, find yourself a tub and soak in it. I'll be doing that soon myself.

It's hard to settle down now, even if you skipped your morning cup of coffee. You are feeling like a buzzing mosquito nervously flitting around waiting for the storm. This storm, however, may not come. It's challenging to fix the problem, for just as you figure out what needs to be done, the circumstances change and there is a variation on the problem that requires a totally different solution. It will be easier if you cut yourself some slack and don't try so hard right now.

I thought the Sun moving into Virgo would be more grounding, not less....

Venus Retrograde

Venus is in retrograde from July 27 to September 8. As with all retrograde cycles, there's a whole bunch of things that aren't recommended, but it is a good time for financial planning, including budgets (but hold off on major purchases) and for examining relationships (but expect complications, like old lovers popping up).

Oh, and as Venus rules beauty, this is not the time to try that new hairstyle. Trust me on that one.

The Stars are Giving Me a Headache (Again)

Some days, I forget to read my horoscope until late at night. THIS would have been good to know today:

On the other hand, you must monitor your daydreams, so they don't pull you too far down the wrong track for too long.

I can't spend the day obsessing about games and fictions that dance through my head? Sigh. I guess I'll be working instead... unless The Kid and I decide to head to the pool, which really just means I'll be working all weekend to make up for it, as pools and computers don't mix.

Mercury Retrograde

With Mercury retrograde in Cancer, this is an excellent period for getting in touch with what nurtures us and feeds our spirits, as well as our instincts. Emotional communication is not as valued as more rational approaches in our society, and now is the time to explore our more intimate, sympathetic, and emotional nature and how these affect our decision-making processes.

So, Mecury goes retrograde today and lasts until July 9. I'm always particularly affected by Mercury retrograde; things get said, people get confused, cheques get lost, that sort of thing. So, no signing new contracts or talking about stressful subjects for me!
